The Naselle Map was my first attempt at farming out the artwork. After the second attempt, I gave up. I'm still drawing all the maps myself. This area is one of the most beautiful and pastoral areas that I've mapped. I have wanted to return with the family and float the Deep River to the Columbia. Every map has one or more stories connected to it. This is the map where I pulled an intoxicated mayor of a major American city out of the ditch one stormy night, and helped that individual back to their motel room. In their inebriated state, they missed a turn and hit the ditch. Someday I'll write a book and tell all of the stories. It will be called Adventures in Mapland.
