This was one of the more unusual cartoon map assignments that I have ever received. I was requested to produce a cartoon map of a future community of Carmit that is now being built in the Negev Desert of Israel. The map was used as a gift item as part of a large gala event in New York City for the supporters and contributors to Carmit. The purpose of the event was to promote the return of Jewish people to communities that are being built for Jews around the world who want to move to Israel. I worked with Shai Baitel, a leader in the OR Movement, an organization that works to populate and develop the Galilee and Negev desert regions of Israel. He is a former legal council at the United Nations and a columnist for the Huffington Post.
