Over the years I have drawn many maps for magazines and books, but this is the first one that I have posted on my fun map site. I drew this Saramaccan village scene for Crusader Magazine back in 2000, so the color was done with markers. I began using Photoshop in 2002. Now the only time that I use wet media is when I teach my watercolor floral painting classes for my Painting in Paradise workshop.
My first color medium was Dr. Martin's Dyes. I used them for many years before I switched to watercolors, then markers. Now Photoshop with a Wacom Cintiq.
